Podcast for LAMS

 Today Michelle and I worked today on our LAMS sequence. We were adding final touches and making sure the presentation was interesting and exciting for our stage 2 students. We had to record another podcast for the LAMS sequence on the topic of bullying. I love the GarageBand program. It is just so easy to use and so effective. I believe kids will really enjoy using the program also. It is such a fun and interactive way to engage students in technology. GarageBand has also been so useful in our LAMS sequence and has made it much more interesting. The kids are able to listen to real life situations about bullying and can be so empathtic to these made up characters in our LAMS sequence!

Bullying Podcast

I used GarageBand again to include in my LAMS assignment. We are going to have questions to follow the passage about ‘Graham the Bully’. I found it very easy to use, and it took a very short amount of time. Due the fact that it needed to be a boy’s voice I changed the voice to a male and it actually sounds quite good! My First Podcast!

Today we used GarageBand to make a podcast. We were asked last night to write a half page script, record it using the microphone on the computer and add a jingle. We then saved them to UTS online and showcased them to the class. I found it very enjoyable and quite an easy program to become familiar with. I chose to talk about my great passion. My great passion as explained in the podcast is to travel more of the world. To visit more of Europe and to potentially travel to Africa.

This program something that children can get a handle of in a short amount of time. Children would love to use this, in order to express their ideas and to have the opportunity to post it online for others to view. As discussed in class it is so important to have a celebration showcase for children to share their work with others.

I like the idea of being able to reply to each others podcasts via another podcast and feel that this will be very useful within the classroom that children will definitely get involved in.
